Word-Based Counseling
In recent years, the Church has been the victim of secular, non-Christian methodologies in Counseling. Bible colleges and seminaries also have promoted the godless philosophies of Freud, Jung, Skinner, Maslow and a host of Christian writers who attempt to Christianize their heresies. The fruit of this hybrid methodology has sold millions of books, but left a trail of defeated counselees, broken marriages, and spiritually anemic Christians. II Timothy 3: 16, 17 says, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." We accept this statement as true and reject all non-Christian methods and techniques in Counseling. Since 1987 we have ministered to many hundreds of individuals and families. God's Word has proven to be abundantly sufficient for every situation and problem of life.
Central Texas Benevolence
Between the years 1982-2012, over 500 families and individuals passed through our residential care facilities in Uvalde and in Pipe Creek, Texas. Some came as referrals from local churches, others from Health and Human Services. Some were sent to us by Law Enforcement or local judges. Others heard about our ministry and traveled from distant locations and surrounding states to be a part of our training program. In addition to these residential guests, many hundreds of needy individuals and families received weekly ministry through our group meetings and services. As God provides, we continue our Benevolence Programs today, working with individuals and families throughout Central Texas.
Chaplaincy Service
Since 1982, Fourth Man Ministries has been a partner with Law Enforcement, Emergency Responders, Health and Human Services, Hospital and Medical Staff, and Christian Ministerial Alliances throughout Texas. We have taken part in hundreds of emergency calls and follow-up care. Our efforts of demonstrating the love of God have touched hundreds of lives and hearts. In every crisis and in every moment of hopelessness, the presence of God is quietly shared. No person or situation is beyond the reach of our Creator.
Missions for Romania
Our work with the persecuited Christians of Romania began in 1982. Prior to this time we had prayed daily and sought opportunities to fund Bible Smuggling behind the Iron Curtain. In 1982 we began working with various relief agencies to help refugees from these nations. Many friendships were established which developed into ministry opportunities after Communism was overthrown in 1989. Between 1994-2002 we worked with other Christian organizations, rescuing children from the sewers and garbage dumps of major cities. We set up residential homes for teenage girls and worked as volunteers with government orphanages. We also served as directors for a Christian Orphanage near the Ukrainian border. In 2003 we founded an orphanage for 100 children. We presently operate two Children's Homes in Romania, along with Feeding Centers in villages near the Danube River. We are now in our eleventh year of ministering to the Leper Village.
